2:1. Tin-di væn-veh ta zao-zing, Zông-ti.̤ 天地萬物都造齊了。 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
2:2. Tao di ts'ih nyih Zông-ti su zao tu wön-kong: di ts'ih nyih tu zao-zing ts-'eo ziu ön-sib. 到第七日、神造物的工已經完畢、就在第七日歇了他一切的工、安息了。 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work
2:3. Zông-ti coh-foh di ts'ih nyih, sön sing-zin nyih, ying-yü keh nyih væn-veh tu zao-zing Zông-ti ziu ön-sib.̤ng duŏh sŏ̤h iông gâu-gâu gì duâi-ĭ. 神賜福給第七日、定為聖日、因為在這日神歇了他一切創造的工、就安息了。 And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

2:5. Di-t'u wæ-vong sang ts'ao-moh, vong fæ-c'ih su-ts'e; Yia-‘o-wa Zông-ti wæ-vong lôh yü ze di-zông, ah m-yiu nying kang-cong din-di; 野地還沒有草木、田間的菜蔬還沒有長起來、因為耶和華神還沒有降雨在地上、也沒有人耕地。 and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earthb and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earthc and there was no man to work the ground,

2:8. Yia-‘o-wa Zông-ti ze Yi-din tong-pin cong ih-ke yün.; ziu peh su zao-keh nying djü ze yün-li. 耶和華神在東方的伊甸立了一個園子、把所造的人安置在那裡。 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.
2:9. Yia-‘o-wa Zông-ti peh kôh-yiang jü-moh jong di-t'u sang-c'ih, yi hao-k'ön, yi hao-ky‘üoh; yün cong-yiang yiu weh-ming-keh jü.̤ duâi. 耶和華神使各樣的樹從地裡長出來、可以悅人的眼目、其上的果子好作食物.園子當中又有生命樹、和分別善惡的樹。 And the Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
2:10. Jong Yi-din yiu ih-diao ‘o liu-c'ih hao ts-nyüing keh yün; jong yün-li feng-k'e s'diao.̤ duâi. 有河從伊甸流出來滋潤那園子、從那裡分為四道。 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters.
